Up until now there has no way of accurately measuring the level of mobile phone abuse within an establishment.
To combat these problems, Esoteric, along with developers, provide the multi-purpose CPD3000 System which is designed to provide that sort of intelligence as well as help track down illicit phones as it can monitor large areas for active cellular devices from a single location.
The systems works by having detectors distributed throughout the premises which are all linked by radio to a central hub normally located in the security office. The system will report where (detector number ), when (hub time stamps all alarms) and how (type of phone 2/3G and whether it is being used for text or voice calls) phones are being used. This allows security staff to be pro-active by being in the right place at the right time with a GSM196 mobile phone detector to pinpoint the exact location from which a phone is being used.
The system is easy to install and use and the CPD351 detectors are highly mobile which provides security personnel with a lot of options. The detectors are based on the proven technology and the adjustable sensitivity control allows personnel to monitor only those areas of interest.
The central hub unit, the CPD310, contains the master clock against which all alarms are stored against. The CPD310 receives both status and alarm transmissions from each of the detectors, either directly or via a repeater. Any alarm conditions being sensed by the detector are immediately transmitted to the hub which puts the hub into an alarm mode. Each alarm will cause the hub to flash the alarm lights, sound the audible alarm, display the alarm information on the blue LCD 2 x 16 character display and print a copy on the attached printer. The CPD310 can store up to 4096 alarms in it’s cyclic memory and no alarms are lost due to power failures.
