EDF fined for spying on Greenpeace

France's state energy firm EDF has been fines €1.5m by a Paris court for spying on Greenpeace. Its head of nuclear production security and the security No. 2 were given 3 year sentences for commissioning the spying and EDF was ordered to pay €500,000 in damages to Greenpeace.

The agency employed by EDf in 2006, hacked the computers of Greenpeace's then campaign directors, taking 1,400 documents.
